Anyway, yeah,but along the same lines, i seriously doubt a judge would issue a warrant for a guy whose shared a small amount of files in a two month span.
someone would contact you, not necessarily the police, but a company or website.
Notice he hasn't posted anything lately in his defense.

One post from the guy who created this threat (thread) .. whatever his name is.. ===== BULLSHIT. Really think about it. Unless he has been detained this whole time and not able to update his own thread, then it's nothing but garbage. Maybe they took all his PC's, arrested him, released him, and he ran to an internet cafe just to warn all the PPI junkies.. come on.. this is crap.

Simple way to avoid the feds? Download freeware shit from download.com .. create a program that download's their entire database of software (i did - can be done - took me 1 day) while you sleep, then auto-bind them.. it's all freeware, and high demand.

think about it. if it really did happen, do you think he is concerned about convincing us that it did?

i wouldn't be. i said it before, and i'll say it one more time. don't deceive yourselves into making each other feel comfortable that something like this couldn't happen.

However you have to remember that antipiracy companies do make some effort to bust users, so the risk is still there. It might be small risk and might feel its not going to happen to you, but its better to be safe than sorry.
